The Level 2 Allergy Awareness for Those Working in the Service Sector course is designed to upskill individuals and employers in allergy awareness. It covers various topics such as allergen types, intolerances, food labelling, reactions, risk reduction, and first aid. The course is equivalent to a level 5 in Scotland.

- Discover the background knowledge behind allergies, allergens and intolerances and gain an understanding of how allergies and intolerances are diagnosed and treated.
- Unit 2: Food labelling and packaging
- Learn how to read different types of food labels and the importance of accurate label reading in keeping those with allergies safe. Discover the regulations surrounding food labelling and develop an ability to recognise when a label is incorrect.
- Unit 3: Allergy awareness for those working in the service sector
- Learn key information on allergen awareness for those working in service sector roles. Discover how to recognise the signs and symptoms of allergic reactions on different body parts and how to perform first aid on those who have experienced a severe reaction. Learn how to reduce the risk of an allergic reaction through methods such as avoidance, food preparation and medical ID jewellery.
